COSAS DEL POKERSTARS EPT DE MONTECARLO

Mientras esperamos a que mañana Miércoles 16 comiencen las emisiones de EPTLive, que podréis seguir en este blog como de costumbre, voy a poneros en antecedentes de las mejores anécdotas del torneo hasta el momento.

Aunque hay multitud de opciones para seguir los acontecimientos del torneo (PokerStarsBlog, PokerNews, los Equipos Españoles de Unibet y Everest, etc), yo como de costumbre me nutro de BlondePoker, que hace los seguimientos más cachondos en riguroso directo que he visto por la red.

La primera sensación del torneo fueron las chicas de la sala T6 Poker, tan espectaculares como las retrataron en el foro de BlondePoker.

Incluso una, la sueca Sandra Edlund logró pasar al segundo día, cosa que no pueden decir todos los profesionales, como el Sr. Ivey que cayó a las primeras de cambió.

Mirad como saca pecho de lo orgullosa que esta por superar a Ivey.

Otra anécdota curiosa es cuando el súper-pro Joe Hachem, que antes de dedicarse al póquer era quiropráctico, se ofreció gentilmente a hacerle un "masaje" en el cuello al jugador Woody Deck cuando le llamó tonto del culo, y que gracias a que les separaron no llego la sangre al río.

“Amongst some incredible commotion on the tournament floor, Joe Hachem has just lost a monster pot and almost became involved in a physical confrontation with T6 Poker player Woody Deck!

We caught the action in the hand on the river with the board reading and Hachem with an 80,000-chip bet into opponent Peter Traply. Traply thought for a few moments before making the call, showing which was good to collect the pot worth over 200,000 chips. Hachem calmly tapped the table, saying "Nice call" as he proceeded to muck his hand.

That's when the real action started. Woody Deck, who was not involved in the hand, then asked to see Hachem's cards. Hachem replied that he didn't have to show since the winning hand had already been shown, and the dealer proceeded to muck his cards.

Deck then said to Hachem something along the lines of, "Are you trying to angle shoot or something? Don't be an asshole!"

Hachem, who at this stage was standing up to walk away from the table, then turned and in an incredible outburst, leaned across the table over Deck with a barrage of intimidating replies!

Hachem appeared set to physically take Deck apart before Antonio Esfandiari lept up from a nearby table and held Hachem back. By this stage security had stepped between Hachem and the table until things calmed down. Hachem then took a walk outside to cool off as the crowd frenzy settled down and play returned to some normality.”

Desgraciadamente de momento no he encontrado ningún video del round.

Por último contaros que la burbuja ha sido larga, muy larga, larguísima, más que una meada cuesta abajo, que se dice en mi pueblo.

Y muy tensa. Así quedó May que está haciendo el seguimiento para el Equipo Everest cuando por fin se rompió.
